Memorial Day Zoo Fun

The family headed to the zoo this beautiful Memorial Day morning.  We had a great time and made it out of there before it became too busy.  Isabella and Gianna's favorite part was probably riding on the carousel.

Gianna's first ride on the carousel and she loved it!

Family Fun

On Sunday of Memorial weekend, we got together with all the Martini's for a BBQ and to celebrate Anthony and Uncle Alex's birthdays.  It was a fun time, as always!  The kids loved seeing each other again and playing together.

Our attempt at getting a picture with all of the kids. (and Aunt Jill)

Isabella being anti social for awhile reading books in the closet. :) That little chair was just her size.

Our Time In Peoria

Isabella, Gianna and I went to Peoria for about 9 days.  We had a great time spending time with all of my family.  It was a busy time, as usual.  One of the reasons I decided to go later in May, was so that I could be at cousin Angie's 40th birthday party.  It was a great time with everyone wearing their best wigs!
Me and the birthday girl!

New wig....mine got to be too hot!

Owen and me before the party!

Of course, Grandma H. had a great time with Isabella and Gianna at her house.  They kept Grandma busy, that is for sure.  Gianna decided to start crawling right before we left on this trip, so that was a challenge keeping her out of things.  We also made a couple of trips to visit Grandpa H. too.  He really enjoyed seeing Isabella and Gianna.  They always bring a smile to his face!

Spending time together.

We had a fun day at Angie's house, playing with Lola.

Army crawl

Gianna is a few days shy of being 9 months old.  I have posted a video of her crawling...sort of.  She isn't up on her hands and knees yet, but man, can she move quickly.

Within the last couple of days, Gianna has learned to clap her hands.  Yesterday at music class, she was clapping along with us.  It was quite cute.  Another milestone, I guess you could call it, is that she can now sit up on her own from laying down.  I will say it again....the time is going fast.  In my head, I'm already planning her 1st birthday party!

Gianna's Dedication on Mother's Day

This year, on Mother's Day, our church had their children's dedication service.  We had Gianna dedicated.  It was a beautiful way to start the beautiful day!  Gammy & Gampy, Uncle Nicholas and Aunt Amy joined us for the service.  Afterwards, we went back to our house for a Mother's Day brunch.  Uncle Alex, Aunt Jill, Jackson & Hailey joined us there.  It was just a very nice morning getting to spend the time together, while enjoying the nice weather.
We are so thankful for our wonderful Mothers, who are now wonderful Grandmother's to our children.  We are truly blessed!!
Our little family picture before the dedication.

A great picture of Gianna on the big screen!

There is a cute story to go along with this.  As you can see, Gianna was listening quite seriously as the Pastor laid his hand on her.  After he finished, I heard the congregation laugh and say some "ahhs".  I couldn't see her face since I was holding her.  So later, Gammy told me that once he finished, she gave everyone her huge smile!
