We have video of Isabella getting very close to crawling. She now scoots toward the object she is wanting, this time it is the phone. She could probably go even faster if she didn't have slippery footy PJ's on.
This is a blog about our growing little girls, Isabella and Gianna, to keep our far away family and friends updated.

Isabella LOVES her "tubby time". She is really into splashing now and doesn't mind getting water in her face. We are hoping that she will continue to love the water this summer at the kiddie pool! As you can see in the video that she likes chewing on rubber ducky. Her bottom teeth are getting closer to cutting through, but they are taking their time. She is also continuing to babble more each day. She now says "ba ba", "da da", "na na, and the newest one, "ma ma". It is pretty funny when she tries to say them all at once! She is now eating more and more table food, due to the fact that she wants nothing to do with being fed with a spoon. Right now her favorites are cheese and turkey, pieces of apples, toast with baby food on the top. (That is mommy's little secret to get some fruit in her.) She still isn't much of a vegetable eater....I guess she gets that from Mom!
Yesterday on Easter Sunday, Isabella turned 9 months old! Even though the weather was not a very spring like Easter day, we still enjoyed the day with the Martini family. It was a good day to reflect on what Easter really means and be thankful for the resurrection of Jesus Christ! We are so thankful to have a wonderful family and that Isabella is a happy and healthy little girl. We are truly blessed!!
Today, Isabella had her 9 month check-up at the doctor. The doctor is pleased with how well Isabella is growing and how much she is learning. Isabella now weighs 13 pounds 14 oz. Her height is now 25 3/4 inches. She is still only in the 5th percentile of the growth chart, but the doctor is pleased with the steady growth. Her brain is growing very well. It is in the 25% of the chart! She was just small to begin with, so now she is slowing creeping up the scale...but she has a big brain! Isabella also has a tooth that mommy can feel coming closer to the surface, so I'm guessing it has to be cutting through very, very soon. So far, she isn't too crabby from that. Isabella still isn't crawling, but she can scoot and she rolls very quickly to get to something she wants. Mom isn't too excited for the crawling to start anyway, because that means our daily lives will change. Like, how in the world will I go to the bathroom??....you know, things like that!!
