Isabella is now 8 months old! Can you believe it!? These pictures were actually taken at 7 months. She hasn't changed much since then though. She is continuing to amaze us everyday with new things that she is achieving. She is scooting and rolling across the floor more and more these days. It won't be long before she is crawling.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today Isabella is celebrating her first Valentine's Day. She is now 7 months old as of the 12th and continues to grow everyday! We just wanted to share a couple of pictures of Isabella wearing her cute Valentine's day outfit.

Fun Times

We don't have any big news to share about Isabella. We thought we would just post some cute photos of Isabella playing around. We think Isabella's teeth are there, but are taking their time cutting through. She is enjoying more foods now. Her favorites would probably be sweet potatoes, apples and pears. We are also trying to teach her how to drink water out of a sippy cup. She continues to sit up more and more by herself and we work on tummy time, so that she will maybe start crawling soon. As for now, she is content just staying put while playing.

Already 6 Months Old?

Isabella had her 6 month check-up yesterday. She now weighs a whopping 11 lbs 6 oz and is 24 inches long! I know..she is still just a little peanut, but the doctor is happy with her progress and said she is strong. We also received the exciting news that she can now start eating baby food! Yah! The doctor said she needs those calories now that she is moving around more. We have started out with some rice cereal. I'm not real sure if she is liking it yet, but we will keep trying. As you can see from the picture, that it isn't her favorite yet. I realized at first that I made it too thick, so I thinned it out and she still didn't think it was the greatest. In a few days, Isabella will get to try maybe some sweet potatoes. YUM!

Isabella is still chattering away everyday as well as playing on her tummy or sitting up. I'm sure it won't be long and I will be telling you how she is crawling around. It has been a fast 6 months and we are excited for the next 6 months!

Another Milestone

I wanted to share a couple of pictures with you all of Isabella sitting up! Yes, all by herself. Now, she can't do it for long before falling to the side, but last night she did sit up for a few minutes and played. It is just another milestone that we capturing and it is fun to see.

Isabella's 1st Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS&HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

We spent Isabella's 1st Christmas in Peoria with the Hohulin family. Isabella and Jill left on December 13th, a little earlier than planned, to be there for Aunt Ruth's funeral. It was good to be able to be there to support Uncle George, Kathy, Susan and Heidi. We will all miss Aunt Ruth's smile and her practical jokes and kindness.

Isabella got to meet Grandma and Grandpa Hohulin for the first time. They were very excited to finally meet her and we had a great time being together over the 2 1/2 weeks. Isabella also met most all of her 11 cousins on the Hohulin side. She did very well with all of the attention she got almost everyday. I think now that we are back home, she doesn't know what to do with just Mommy and Daddy around her.

While there, Isabella experienced her 1st ice storm. It was a good one too. It knocked down power lines, so that we didn't have power for 3 days at Grandma's house. It also brought down huge tree limbs in the backyard and demolished the gas grill. We were very lucky that none of the limbs fell on the roof. That could have been bad. Luckily, Uncle Gary brought a generator over to the house so that we could have heat and lights. Good thing, because it got bitter cold a day later!! We had quite the experience this trip. I think next time we go visit, it will be in the spring or summer.
