A Great Trip to Rhode Island

Sorry for neglecting the blog so much the past few weeks! But I thought I'd share a picture with you of us while we were out in Rhode Island last weekend for our friend's wedding. Anthony's friend, Brian, worked in Grand Junction as a sportscaster during Anthony's time there .. and he was a groomsman in the wedding (as Brian was in our wedding). Brian married his lovely bride, Kerrie, in a stunning setting of Newport, Rhode Island. This picture of Jill and I was during the only 2 hour window we were there (and keep in mind that we were in Newport for 4 days!) that the sun actually came out from behind the clouds! But you can tell from the gorgeous background that you are probably like us -- we want to go back to Rhode Island in the summertime to get the full experience of the ocean, cliffs, etc. (And how poetic was it that the sun made its only appearance during the wedding pictures after the ceremony on Saturday afternoon?!)

Apart from the rain, clouds and cold wind off the cold water for 3+ days, we had a great time catching up with old friends from the TV world and meeting new ones at Brian & Kerrie's wedding. Both families were extremely gracious to all us "outsiders" with a weekend full of activities. And little jellybean (aka the baby) seemed to like her time in Rhode Island, too!

Finally -- we know what "it" is!

First of all -- sorry for the delay in getting the word out to the blog community! It's been a crazy few days! So .. without further ado .. we found out last Thursday at the 20-week ultrasound that our baby is a GIRL! Well .. at least the technician said she was 90% sure it is a girl! (It seems they never want to say 100% as there could be something that is hidden from view during the ultrasound ... but our tech seemed pretty sure she got a number of different views at the girl "parts"!)


We couldn't be happier to have a little girl on the way .. and were also happy to learn that all the ultrasound tests and measurements showed everything is developing well with our little jellybean. (She's actually the size of a banana this week .. but jellybean sounds much cuter!)

A day of waiting ...

Hello all! Well .. the day has finally come -- the 20-week ultrasound is this afternoon .. and we'll find out if "it" is a "boy" or a "girl"! I know we'll both be happy to actually call the baby a "he" or "she" instead of the "it" as that kind of drives us nuts! So .. we'll be sure to let you know after we find out the sex!

In the meantime .. here is our cute little nephew, Jackson. OK .. he wasn't cooperating when my Aunt Debbie was taking the picture .. but trust us, he's still cute!

Finally -- we have a picture of Jill to share with you! Yes .. there is a little "bump" but this will seem trivial in just a few short months!



Now .. I know that many of you are also wondering how the Dad-to-be is doing. As you can see from the picture of Anthony, he's doing just fine, thank you! So far, he appears to be avoiding the "pregnancy weight gain". If you never hear from Anthony again, you will know that Jill has inflicted some serious pain on him for this post!

A picture -- FINALLY!

OK .. we finally have a picture to post for you! It's not of Jill (I know you really want to see her) -- that will be coming. This picture is of the baby at our first ultrasound at 11 weeks. This was 6 weeks ago .. so a new ultrasound picture will be coming in a few weeks! (**And, we'll find out whether "it" is a boy or a girl!**)

You can even see, in this second picture, the baby "waving" to the ultrasound tech! Ha ha! It's amazing to see the baby, at just 11 weeks old, has five fingers already! Wow!

I know some of you have already asked if I'm showing yet. Well, a picture will be coming soon. Let's just say, that I can't zip up any of my "skinny" jeans anymore, if that tells you anything. More to come ...

Baby's First Pictures

As most of you know, Anthony and I are having a baby! Our first doctors visit was somewhat a surprise to us, because I was further along than we thought. So, instead of seeing something the size of a jellybean on the ultrasound, we actually saw a baby's head, a hand and the legs stretched out. It was scary and exciting at the same time. So, this little baby is due on July 31st. Anthony and I wanted to start this blog so that we could keep all of our out of town family up on the latest and greatest information of this pregnancy.
